BlueSpace Technology – The Only Romanian Company Present at the NATO C-UAS Exercises 2025

A landmark moment for BlueSpace Technology!

We are proud to be the only Romanian company currently participating in the NATO C-UAS Exercises 2025, taking place in Muenster, Germany.

We are representing Romania with the Portable Drone Jamming System – Silenta-6004 UAS Combat System, a defensive, non-kinetic system designed to neutralize drones by disrupting their control and navigation signals. This is the first system of its kind manufactured 100% in Romania.

Our participation in these tests is no coincidence. Access to NATO evaluations is reserved for those who meet the highest standards — companies that not only assemble but also develop and produce their own systems, capable of operating autonomously in real-life conditions.

It’s an exclusive circle, open only to those who demonstrate technological excellence and the courage to bring their equipment before the most demanding international evaluators.

For us, this is a valuable opportunity to test the Silenta-6004 in real-world scenarios, alongside cutting-edge technologies and top specialists from around the globe.

CEO Constantin Pintilie’s Participation at the Euro-Atlantic Security Conference

How can armed forces respond to the increasingly complex challenges surrounding us—from cyberattacks and drones to artificial intelligence and hybrid threats? This was one of the key topics discussed at the Euro-Atlantic Security Conference, where engineer Constantin Pintilie, CEO of BlueSpace Technology, also spoke.

“We have talented people and good ideas, but we lack a clear framework to turn these ideas into real solutions. Without our own capabilities, we remain dependent and vulnerable. Romania must fully activate its industry, harness its intelligence and resources, and think in an integrated way: education – research – production,” emphasized Constantin Pintilie.

The event, organized by the MediaUNO Press Group, took place as part of the Bucharest Leaders’ Summit: The Path to 5.0. From Vision To Reality, bringing together political and military leaders, as well as experts and specialists in technology and research.

BlueSpace Technology supported this initiative as an official sponsor, promoting strategic dialogue and concrete solutions for a safer Romania aligned with Euro-Atlantic values.

BlueSpace Technology, alongside future UAV specialists in Brașov!

Part of our team is currently attending the Military Student Multirotor Fest, a competition organized by the “Henri Coandă” Air Force Academy in Brașov. The event highlights the scientific research potential of students from military educational institutions in the field of unmanned aerial systems (UAS).

BlueSpace Technology is a sponsor and supporter of this initiative, with a dedicated booth at the event. On display were the NOCTUA 2707 – Mobile Drone Detection System, SILENTA 6004 – Portable Drone Jamming System, and AGEELA 2301 – Light Tactical Drone. Our colleague Constantin Radu, Product Manager in the Technical Department, conducted a short demo adapted to the available space.

He also held an interactive session lasting over an hour with the students, where he spoke candidly about real-world industry challenges and the necessary steps to turn an idea into a functional product.

It’s important for us to be involved in initiatives that support students passionate about technology, promoting innovation, hands-on education, and close collaboration between academia and the industry.

Book Launch at BVB Arena

The launch of the new BVB Arena book, “15 Companies Driving the Growth of the Romanian Economy and Their Success Stories”, took place, a book that also features BlueSpace Technology.

“We are a 100% Romanian company that believes in innovation and research. We have invested in a robotics lab at a high school in Bucharest and a technology lab at the Politehnica University, and we will soon inaugurate the BlueSpace Research Institute. Through these projects, we have laid the foundations of an ecosystem capable of developing Romanian technological products and giving engineers reasons to stay in Romania,” said BlueSpace Technology CEO, Eng. Constantin Pintilie, who attended the event.

Thank you to the Bucharest Stock Exchange for the inclusion, and congratulations to all those who choose to build a dream here, at home!

BlueSpace Technology at the students fair “ETTI Internship”

The future belongs to those who take action today!

This was the message our colleagues—Adriana Brehui (HR Manager), Cătălin Ionescu (R&D Director), Cornel Calistru (Production Director), and Bogdan Vilcă (Technical Director)—shared with students from the POLITEHNICA University of Bucharest at the “Practică la ETTI” event.

We were there to meet future specialists and offer them internship opportunities within our company this summer.

At the BlueSpace Technology booth, students had the chance to see our drone jamming system live—an innovative technology developed by our team.

We believe in the potential of future engineers and want to give them reasons to stay and build a successful career right here in Romania!

VLAH project Update

14th of June, 2022: BlueSpace TECHNOLOGY, in collaboration with Zetor Engineering, publishes the first technical details obtained following the feasibility study.

VLAH – Technical details for the first Romanian light armored vehicle

Romanian Light Armored Vehicle (ATBTU)

Light Armored Car (ATBTU), a project announced at the beginning of this year (here the news), whose progress was presented exclusively at BSDA2022, today enjoys a massive media success, as they appeared and we present the results below. the first stage of the project – Feasibility Study.

The first Romanian light armored vehicle (ATBTU), VLAH, represents the proposal of our company for equipping the Romanian Army with a means of combat that will be manufactured 100% in Romania. The finished product is going to be a light armored 4 × 4 car, with a weight of 7 tons and a power load of 2.5 tons, totaling a maximum weight of 9.5 tons. Our goal is for the ballistic protection of the passenger compartment to be at least Level 1, according to the STANAG 4569 standard, and for explosion protection to be at least level 2a (according to STANAG 4569).

BlueSpace TECHNOLOGY intends to develop the VLAH project in partnership with Zetor Engineering, which, on the occasion of the BSDA2022 exhibition, presented a Zetor GERLACH ATV armored vehicle, a viable landmark for the future Romanian vehicle.

Results of the Feasibility Study

In accordance with the research-development contract regarding the newest BlueSpace TECHNOLOGY project, the feasibility study for the realization of the first light armored vehicle made by a Romanian company was completed.

A German model from MTU Friedrichshafen GmbH was chosen for the running gear of the vehicle. As for the gearbox, VLAH will have a new 8-speed model, supplied by ZF Friedrichshafen AG. A significant advantage is the distribution of gears, which can achieve the automatic transition of the 4 × 4 car from hard to easy and vice versa, when necessary, without having to stop the vehicle while driving.

„The obvious advantage is that when there is a threat, the car can change direction regardless of the terrain, without wasting precious time in which the crew would be vulnerable”

Constantin Pintilie, Fondator & CEO

The prototype will be equipped with an all-wheel drive system from ZF Friedrichshafen AG and from Advanced Design Solution in the Czech Republic.

A major desideratum of the company is that the VLAH armored vehicle will be manufactured within Romania’s borders, with as few elements as possible from outside the country, but from the European Union, which is why the all-wheel drive stem and axles are part of the first phase of technology transfer in Romania.

The solution we propose allows easy integration of new technologies, for example changing the engine to an electric one, creating a new, silent hybrid vehicle. Also, given the rapid pace of development of technology for sensor systems, the car can be equipped with an electric generator connected to the engine shaft, to ensure the necessary level of energy. This is extremely important, because these integrated sensor systems considerably improve the safety of the crew, giving them an increased degree of environmental awareness, and therefore a much more precise mobility/maneuverability.

The Ministry of National Defense announced at the end of 2021 the intention to purchase over 1,000 new light armored tactical vehicles, in 9 basic variants .According to the specifications in the document published by MApN, we want a higher percentage of such products manufactured and purchased in Romania, which greatly encourages both the BlueSpace TECHNOLOGY initiative for the armored car prototype and our entire philosophy, to produce as much as you have “in-house”, with our people and capabilities.

BlueSpace Technology at BSDA2022

We had a unique experience as exhibitors at BSDA2022 – BLACK SEA Defense, Aerospace and Security International Exhibition 2022

Bucharest, May 25, 2022: BlueSpace TECHNOLOGY had one of the most visited booths at BSDA2022, where it was an exhibitor alongside the company’s most important strategic partners, and if you didn’t get to visit the BST stand, we invite you to browse the article below!

The BlueSpace Stand at BSDA2022

BSDA was for us a unique experience, long awaited, but above all, the most authentic business card that BlueSpace TECHNOLOGY has ever had. In the last 2 years, our company, through its projects, has been a strong topic of interest for specialized news, but on the occasion of BSDA2022 we have shown concretely our capabilities, but also the importance of their existence locally.

Although our debut at this fair, as a Romanian manufacturer in the Defense Industry, took place at the 2018 edition, this year we returned with a considerable upgrade. With a 70 sqm stand, we hosted some of our most important and strategic partners:

Theissen Training Systems Gmbh, GLOMEX, CurtissWright, Syscom Engineering, Zetor Engineering and ELKO Romania.

During the 3 days of the event, we used few words, and the equipment and solutions exhibited spoke for us. The restoration of the digital image through electromagnetic field, state-of-the-art TEMPEST equipment, high-performance targets for training ranges, but also many other innovative solutions of great interest for the Romanian defense industry populated the BlueSpaceTECHNOLOGY stand.

Romanian Light Armored Vehicle (ATBTU)

It is extremely likely that you have heard about the prototype Light Armored Vehicle (ATBTU), a project announced at the beginning of this year (here the news). During BSDA2022, the results of the first phase of the project were presented for the first time, and in the gallery below you can find the 3D projections of the chosen chassis resulting from the feasibility study.

The first Romanian light armored vehicle (ATBTU), VLAH, represents our company’s proposal for equipping the Romanian Army with a means of combat that will be manufactured 100% in Romania. The finished product of the project is a 4×4 light armored car, with a weight of 7 tons and power load of 2.5 tons, totaling a maximum weight of 9.5 tons. Our goal is that the ballistic protection of the passenger compartment of the car is at least Level 1, according to the STANAG4569 standard, and the explosion protection is at least Level 2a (according to STANAG 4569).

BlueSpace TECHNOLOGY intends to develop the VLAH project in partnership with Zetor Engineering, which, on the occasion of the BSDA2022 exhibition, presented a Zetor GERILCH armored ATV vehicle, a viable landmark for the future Romanian vehicle.

Modernization project of the TR-85 tank

Another extremely important project in our repertoire, also presented at BSDA2022 and addressed to the Romanian Army, is the project to modernize the TR-85 tank, providing a technical solution for stabilizing the turret. The project, carried out in partnership with the Military Technical Academy “Ferdinand I”, will also include the improvement of the optical system and the fire control system.

BlueSpace TECHNOLOGY brings a technical solution for earth stabilization, replacing the hydraulic system with an electro-mechanical one, to be integrated in partnership with Curtiss-Wright, who participated with us at BSDA2022 with. It also aims to extend the technical solution of the present project with solutions for modernizing the optical and fire control systems, which would significantly improve the accuracy of the tank gun.

Conference and visitors

As mentioned at the beginning, the BlueSpace TECHNOLOGY booth was one of the most popular at BSDA2022, being constantly visited throughout the 3 days of the event. During the exhibition, I had the great opportunity to discuss with a number of Romanian officials, including the Minister of Defense, Vasile Dîncu, and the Chief of Defense Staff, Daniel Petrescu, about a series of development programs in the field of defense.

Moreover, BlueSpace TECHNOLOGY representatives addressed the official delegations within the Naval and Land Forces panels, for the latter, the company being even sponsor of the event. Along with Mr. Constantin Pintilie, Founder and CEO of BlueSpace TECHNOLOGY, the panel dedicated to the Land Forces was also attended by representatives CurtissWright and TheissenTraining Systems Gmbh.

See you for sure at BSDA2024

Finally, we would like to thank the organizers of BSDA Exhibition Team, TNT Productions, LLC for this platform, through which we were able to convey BlueSpace TECHNOLOGY’s message so well.

I mentioned at the beginning of the article that this event was essentially our best business card, because as you can see, the things that make the difference speak for themselves and when they are seen, not just told, the change takes shape and becomes much more tangible than we imagined. That’s what BlueSpace TECHNOLOGY is about –change, for the better, through innovation and ambition.

If you didn’t get to visit us this year, we are definitely waiting for you at BSDA2024, with many new projects that we will bring until then to the Defense Industry!
