Participation of BlueSpace Technology’s CEO at the Conference “Transforming Romania into a Regional Hub for the Defense Industry in a Volatile Global Context”
On 20th of March, BlueSpace Technology CEO, Constantin Pintilie, attended the Romanian Industrial Defense Capabilities Assessment Conference.
“The state-owned defense industry needs a serious shake-up, joint ventures with mature private companies from Romania or abroad should be established, and functional management methods and measures must be implemented—ones that follow competitive rules and workflows to ensure positive performance. However, perhaps the most critical need is the establishment of a Sales and Marketing Department to bring in contracts and oversee their implementation,” stated Constantin Pintilie.
During the conference, the conclusions of the study “Romanian Industrial Defense Capabilities Assessment: Development of a Strong Homegrown Industry” were presented and debated. The study was conducted by the global strategic consulting firm Kearney, based on Romania’s National Strategy for the Defense Industry 2024-2030.
“The current geopolitical landscape is entirely unpredictable and demonstrates that a nation’s survival depends not only on its defense capabilities but also on how it secures strategic resources, develops advanced technology, and builds industrial independence. Only through joint efforts can we rebuild a strong defense system and develop a country prepared for such a geopolitical context,” added Constantin Pintilie.
The event, held at the Palace of Parliament, was attended by political and governmental decision-makers, representatives from NATO and the EU, leaders from the defense industry, investors, security think-tank experts, and specialized media representatives.
